Posted

Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT), located at 2740 York Road (Route 263), Jamison, is hosting its annual open house for middle school and high school students on Thursday, Dec. 1.

The event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be two informational sessions for prospective students and their parents: one beginning at 6 p.m. and the second beginning at 7 p.m. in our cafeteria.

There will be student-led demonstrations in program areas, which will be the main focus of the evening. In the main lobby, visitors will find a listing of each program’s activities, so they can explore all of the lab areas. Visitors will have opportunities to speak with faculty, staff, and students as well as to gather valuable career information. Prospective students, parents, and community members are invited to examine MBIT’s curriculum and work-based opportunities to learn how MBIT can help students establish foundations for successful career paths.

Middle Bucks Institute of Technology’s career and technical education programs prepare high school students for a wide range of high-wage, high-skill and high-demand careers. The educational programs at MBIT are organized into 21 career pathways, all geared toward preparing students to meet the growing needs of in-demand occupations in Pennsylvania.

The students benefit from having the ability to get a head start on their career through hands-on relevant training that leads to industry certifications and post-secondary credits. The school serves students in grades 10 to 12 from the Centennial, Central Bucks, Council Rock, and New Hope-Solebury school districts.
