Doylestown Health presents, Mental Health Series Final Symposium 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 in the VIA Auditorium and Warrington Rooms of the Health and Wellness Center, 847 Easton Road, Warrington.
Registration starts at 8 a.m.; speakers start at 9 a.m.
Expert speakers from the mental health community will share insight on topics including substance abuse, anxiety and caregiver support, as well as how social media can impact mental health. The interactive sessions allow participants an opportunity to ask questions, engage with mental health professionals and get local resources. Participants can choose which programs they would like to attend.
Speakers include Donna Duffy-Bucks County Department of Mental Health/Developmental Programs; Brenda Foley, assistant medical director, Doylestown Hospital Emergency Department; Amy Tielemans, Amy Tielemans and Associates; Dr. Julia Helstrom, Doylestown Health Urgent Care and Bucks County Center for Integrative Medicine; Marjorie K. Morgan, associate executive director for Outpatient Services at Lenape Valley Foundation; James Mast, psychotherapist, certified eco-systemic structural family therapist, Penn Foundation; Theresa Moore, Peaceful Journeys; and Matt Weintraub, district attorney.

Doylestown Health’s 2018 Mental Health Series included free educational sessions throughout the year. Local mental health professionals and community partners offered monthly presentations in an effort to educate area residents, provide resources and next steps, and work to remove the stigma surrounding mental illness.
