Memberships available as Sellersville pool preps for season opener

Posted

Over the next few weeks, crews will acid-wash the pool, make some plaster repairs, spruce up the grounds and add a couple of hundred thousand gallons of clear, sparkling water.

And just like that, for the 49th straight year, Holiday House Pool in Sellersville will be ready to welcome members looking for a family-friendly way to beat the summer heat. Opening Day is May 26 at noon.

“It’s an exciting time,” said Jim Miller, chairman of the board that oversees pool operations. “It’s easy to envision kids splashing in the pool and parents chatting with friends on a sunny summer day.”

The new season brings a host of changes to the pool that has been enjoyed by generations, including a new manager, a new snack stand operator, more games and special events.

The goal is to provide members and visitors with a pleasant experience every time they come to the pool, said Miller.

“No doubt we are in a competitive marketplace,” said Miller. “We think Holiday House has a charm and simplicity that neighboring pools can never match. Our membership has been creeping up for the last few years, which means people like what we offer to them.”

Family memberships for Sellersviile and West Rockhill Township residents are $225 before June 1 ($250 after). A family membership includes four tickets. Each additional ticket is $25. Children under three are free.

A single membership for a resident is $130 ($140 after June 1. Adults 62 and older and children 16 and younger are $90.

Information about non-resident fees, swimming lessons, and party rentals can be found on the Sellersville Borough and West Rockhill Township website, as well as the Holiday House Facebook Page.
