MBIT recognizes Career and Technical Education Month in February with record interest

Posted

February is Career and Technical Education Month (CTE Month) and there has never been more interest and enrollment at Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT).

During the month of February, schools and organizations will be hosting events and activities to celebrate and promote CTE. These events will showcase the diverse range of career paths available through CTE and the skills students can gain to succeed in these fields.

There was a record number in attendance at MBIT’s annual open house.

“We were thrilled to see such interest in our career and technical offerings at MBIT,” said Dr. Mark Covelle, administrative director. “It was great to see prospective students and their parents learning about all of the opportunities that exist at MBIT from our current students. At MBIT we are ‘preparing tomorrow’s workforce today’ with modern equipment and industry-recognized content that give our students a competitive advantage in the workplace. Career and technical education is certainly on the rise and MBIT has 21 world-class programs that are designed to provide students with the skills and certifications necessary to become employable in high demand and high wage jobs”

This year, they have seen a record number of students enrolling in CTE programs. From traditional trades to emerging technologies, there is a CTE program for everyone. The demand for skilled workers in these fields is high and CTE provides the training and education students need to succeed. With a focus on hands-on learning and real-world experience, MBIT is helping students discover their passion and prepare for successful careers.
