Masking a health issue, not a political issue

Posted

There is a school policy that doesn’t allow a child to bring a peanut butter sandwich or other peanut butter snack to school because it might cause harm to a child who has a peanut allergy.
Is it a parent’s right to send a child to school with peanut butter anyway? Should they be able to sue the school district because they want their child to be able to take peanut butter for lunch? Is it their right or freedom to do this?
Yet, some parents want to risk other children; those who have allergies, asthma or a compromised immune system because they feel it’s their right to send their child to school without a mask.

When childhood Covid cases are now 10 times higher than they were at this time last year, how does this make sense? The governor has taken action to protect our school age children who are too young to be protected by the vaccine. This is not a political issue, it’s a health issue. Leave the peanut butter at home and send your child with a mask.
