March for Our Lives gun violence demonstration set in Doylestown

The March for Our Lives Doylestown 2020 will take place March 14.

March for Our Lives Doylestown is a student-led, peaceful demonstration to unite the community to reduce gun violence and to center student voices for safety in schools and communities. Youth and allies will join together in a symbolic march led by students, from a public high school to the seat of county government, with a clear and resounding message that, they’ve “had enough of the violence, enough inaction on common sense gun laws and policies, enough of adults and politicians ignoring the carnage across our nation, and enough of ignoring the need for improvements in our school climates.”

The march begins at noon at CB West, on Court Street near the Lafayette and Court streets intersection. Participants will then march through Doylestown to the old Bucks County Courthouse, where a student-led, family friendly rally will take place. The rally will consist of student speakers, voter registration info, slam poetry, chants, how to take action against gun violence and more.

The March for Our Lives Doylestown 2020 is organized by Bucks Students Demand Action, a student-centered group of students from all across Bucks County. Seven high school students are leading this growing group.
