Makers Alley to show annual Art and Artisan Exhibition in new location

Posted

Makers Alley – an artisan and craft collective that supports makers creating works across all artistic disciplines and skill sets in the Delaware River Valley – is on the move to Milford, N.J.

Its first step out in 2023 will be to tour its third annual Juried Art & Artisan Makers Alley Exhibition to Milford, N.J. This new location in the former Milford Bank building, at 34 Bridge St., provides another opportunity to experience the over 100 works of art, sculpture and craftsmanship exhibited in Frenchtown, N.J., last fall.

The Milford Edition of the 2022 exhibition will be on view every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Jan. 28 through Feb. 12. Maker’s Alley invites visitors to enjoy the river town, check out the artwork and attend the events and activities the collective will be staging while the exhibition is in place.

Visitors can expect to see a diverse exhibition of emerging and established talents from painters, sculptors, woodworkers, weavers, potters, photographers, metal workers, furniture and textile makers, and more.

At noon Saturday, Feb. 4, Makers Alley will host a meet-and-greet event at 34 Bridge St. in Milford for those interested in learning more about Makers Alley, talking with some of the artists who participate in its expanding “artist to artist” programs and touring the new space. All are welcome. RSVPs are requested but not required. RSVP: info@makersalley.org

The Makers Alley collective is in the process of offering shared access to studio workshops and gallery spaces for multi-disciplinary working makers at the Art & Design Center at 34 Bridge St., Milford, N.J. Artists, artisans and creative business enterprises interested in exploring shared workspace and viewing a floor plan can visit: makersalley.org.
