Local parishes join to livestream Holy Week services


Three Bucks County parishes have joined together for a new and creative initiative, given current circumstances, to follow the social distancing guidelines recommended by local, state and national governments due to the pandemic.

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia recently announced that all Easter Services will be private. In response, three local Marian parishes will join together for Holy Week.

The priests and deacons of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Doylestown and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in Hilltown will celebrate private liturgies at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Buckingham.

The liturgies will be livestreamed from OLG parish at They will also be available on the OLG parish website to watch at a later time. For the Palm Sunday 9:30 a.m. April 5 Mass, the Main Celebrant and Homilist was the Rev. Robert Ianelli, pastor, Our Lady of Guadalupe.
