Local lender partners with organizations for giveback program

Posted

In 2020, during the height of the pandemic, the Benchmark Lending team sought out local nonprofits to offer support.
“What started as a way to help during the worst of the crisis has grown into a formal program with a dedicated budget and staff time,” said Glenn M. Davis, business owner and certified mortgage planning specialist at Benchmark Lending in Flemington, N.J.
Recent initiatives in Hunterdon County, N.J., include hosting a blood drive for the American Red Cross, and donating gardening tools and supplies to the Flemington Area Food Pantry garden.

In Pennsylvania, through a community partnership between MAGIC Charities’ MAGIC Scholarship Fund, the Farmer’s Market team at Klinger Middle School and Benchmark Lending, 250 backpacks and 150 school supply kits were donated to students in need in Bucks County.
“Local businesses who make it a priority to improve the community are important partners for the MAGIC Charities Foundation,” said MAGIC’s Executive Director, Sharon Grosso. “We are grateful to Glenn and the Benchmark Lending team for their support,” she added.
Nora Mathews, client concierge at Benchmark Lending, is responsible for organizing the “Benchmark Giveback” program. “There are so many nonprofits doing important work in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and I enjoy learning about each organization and their mission. We have fun, meet amazing people, and feel good knowing that we are helping out right here in the communities we serve,” Mathews explained.
