Live Nativity is a pageant telling Christmas story

Posted

Living Hope Community Church in Dublin presented its Living Nativity, an outdoor walk-through presentation about the birth of Christ, Dec. 16 to 19.
The presentation is a tale of Caesar Augustus, who addresses a crowd before they enter the gates at Bethlehem where many merchants actively sell their wares.
While the crowd shops, Mary and Joseph travel through Bethlehem asking the innkeeper for lodging. Centaurians move the crowd past fields where shepherds keep their flocks. King Herod addresses the three Wise Men (who are riding camels).
Angels announce the birth of Jesus and the crowd approaches the manger as the three kings bring gifts.

The 50-minute interactive presentation was presented with the help of more than 400 volunteers.
Guests were given a souvenir and treated to cookies and cocoa following the presentation. Typically more than 12,000 attend.
