Listener and Healer to speak

Posted

Sandra Boone will speak on “Knotted Legacy: Loving Neighbors” at the historic Newtown Quaker Meetinghouse, 219 Court St., www.newtownfriendsmeeting.org, at 11:15 a.m. on First Day (Sunday), Nov. 12.

Traditional Quaker Meeting for Worship based on expectant silence will be at 10 a.m. The public is invited.

Boone’s talk will describe one Quaker’s journey of “intentionally unknotting history, liberating opportunities for inclusion, and healing – apologies, acknowledgments, and acts of love.” The discussion will focus on “exploring wonderings” and potential next steps together.

The Nanticoke-Lenni Lenape Tribal Nation considers Boone to be “extended family.”
