Edward F. Luecke of Hilltown turned 90 years old on Sept. 6, Labor Day. Born and raised in Hilltown, he was one of eight children.
He married Rosemarie Tornetta on Oct. 20, 1956 and he was married for 61 years, before his wife died in 2017. He has three children, four granddaughters and two great-granddaughters.
Ed worked 34 years at Ebert’s in Lansdale. He ran the fabricating shop and built custom truck bodies. He was known as the best welder in the area, his daughter Deborah Kramer said.
He moved on to Lehigh Valley Dairies, and worked as a fabricator in the maintenance department for 20 years and he was the Teamsters Union 463 steward.
