Lenape Chamber Ensemble plans local performances

Posted

The Lenape Chamber Ensemble returns with performances for flute, strings and piano next month.
At 8:15 p.m. on March 4, the historic Upper Tinicum Lutheran Church in Upper Black Eddy will host the ensemble. The Life Sciences Auditorium in Doylestown will house their performance at 3 p.m. on March 6. A program of music by Haydn, Clarke and Glazunov awaits attendees, performed by seven musicians drawn from major orchestras and ensembles throughout the United States.
Among the performers will be pianist Marcantonio Barone, soloist with Orchestra 2001; Emily Daggett-Smith, first violinist of the Vega Quartet, Cyrus Beroukhim, concertmaster with the American Symphony; and Alberto Parrini, cellist with the American Symphony.

They will be joined by violist Brett Deubner, who has performed as concert soloist with over 70 orchestras on four continents, and special guest Peter Sanders, cellist with the New York City Ballet Orchestra. Returning to the stage is flutist Tanya Witek, former principal with the New York Symphonic Ensemble and now member of the New York City Ballet Orchestra and the Mostly Mozart Festival.
Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors and students and $5 for children. They’re available online, at the door or by calling 610-294-9361.
