Cheerful pie bird and cat paintings are back. See scenic landscapes in both oil and acrylic paint. Still life floral paintings are on display along with a whimsical wire sculpture bird and a painted foam/plaster blue pig.
Hartl paints in a traditional style. She believes that art and one’s response to art is very personal. Her intent is that a work of art inspire an appreciation of the natural beauty around the viewer and may evoke a memory of a past time or place.
She is a retired pharmaceutical scientist. After a 40- year science career, her painting hobby became a full-time endeavor. In addition to two science degrees, Hartl has an AFA in Visual Arts from Raritan Valley Community College. She has lived in Lambertville with her family for 34 years.
