Cross Pollination art gallery, 69 Bridge St., Lambertville, N.J., will host a first Friday event from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday Nov. 2.

The public is invited to enjoy art, along with live jazz by Jack Furlong and Sean Gough. Refreshment will be served.

Cross Pollination is an artist-owned gallery. It features the art of Trenton, N.J.-based artists Ayala Shimelman and SiriOm Singh.

Using acrylic and pallet knife, Singh paints landscapes and abstract paintings. Shimelman uses stitching techniques to create fiber collages and fiber jewelry.

Coming from different cultures, faiths, backgrounds and artistic expressions, Shimelman and Singh influence, complement and enhance each other’s art.

Other nearby galleries nearby open for first Friday include: Haas Gallery at 71 Bridge St.; Bridge Street House Inn and Gallery at 75 Bridge St.; and The gallery at the Delaware River Towns Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau at 77 Bridge St.
