Kathleen M. “Kathy” Evans of Doylestown, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 66.
Born in Cedar Grove, NJ to the late Earl and Eugenia (Scafidi) Workman, Kathy resided in Raleigh, NC before moving to Doylestown, PA in 1998.
Kathy graduated from Memorial High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Rutgers University. She was formerly employed as an FDA Investigator and later with Bucks Country Gardens of Doylestown, PA for 17 years. Kathy was devoted to volunteering and accumulated thousands of hours at the Bucks County SPCA and Roxy Therapy Dogs. She was a certified professional dog trainer who specialized in positive and compassionate training methods. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed designing and caring for her beautiful gardens. She enjoyed kayaking with friends, cooking family meals, fostering animals, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was the beloved wife of 33 years to Kris Evans; devoted mother of Gregory Evans and wife Marie, Dr. Leah Evans and partner Ross Peterson; loving grandmother of Anderson and Ava Evans; dear sister of Ann Workman, Gary Workman and late wife Diane; adored aunt of Phillip and Jessica.
The family will receive their friends at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 10:00 am – 11:30 am, with a memorial service to begin at 11:30 am.
