Karen L. Montgomery of New Hope passed away on Jan. 5, 2023 after a long struggle with cancer.

Karen was born on July 5, 1950 to Patricia and George Watts in Abington, Pa. After Karen graduated from Upper Moreland in 1968, she went on to study business management at Rosemont College.

After graduating, she started her first corporate job at Quaker Chemical as an administrative assistant, kickstarting a 20-year career in her field. There she met the love of her life, Cliff Montgomery. They were married on Sept. 30, 2011.

Karen lived a life of service – to her family, her community, her pets and most importantly her life partner, Cliff. She was incredibly generous with her time and gifts – spoiling everyone around her.

In 2011, Karen retired and spent her time playing sports, concentrating on her health and fitness, always reading and working to improve her body and mind, traveling the world and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Cliff Montgomery, sons Michael Miller, Wayne Miller, stepchildren Tyler and Kate Montgomery, and grandchildren, Avery, Regan and Gabe Miller, Quinn, and Ronan Rasmussen.

Her life celebration will be held at John F. Givnish Funeral Home, 4886 York Road, Buckingham, on Jan. 14, beginning at 11 a.m., followed services at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Grey Muzzle Organization or the Bucks County SPCA, organizations Karen felt strongly about. Interment private.
