Julia S. Kerr, of West Amwell Village, NJ, died on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at her home. She was 93 years old.
Born in West Amwell, Julia was a lifelong resident of the township. She graduated from Lambertville High School. She worked for many years at Stanley Cleaners in Lambertville. Julia was a longtime member of the West Amwell Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary and had served as Auxiliary President. With her husband Bob, Julia enjoyed family camping trips and annual summer vacations at Seaside Park. As an active member of the West Amwell Wonders, Julia always looked forward to the group’s bus trips.
For 69 years, Julia was the devoted wife of the late Robert P. Kerr who passed away in 2018. She was the mother of the late Earl R. Kerr and the daughter of the late Earl and Bertha Matthews Holcombe. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Linda and Stephen Mobley of Jamison, PA; her grandchildren Ryan Kerr and his wife Robin of Stockton, Hailee Kerr of Morristown; Lance Paul and his wife Jill of Stockton, NJ and Stephanie Baratelli and her husband John of Ramona, CA; her great-granddaughter Austin Kerr of Stockton; her twin sister Mary L. Hoagland of West Amwell; and many nieces and nephews especially Randy Hoagland Jr., his wife Tammy and their children Alyssa and Bubba, all of West Amwell.
Services will be private.
