John F. McDonald, of Solebury, PA, passed away on December 1st 2021 at the age of 76. He was the loving husband of Mary (Mullin) McDonald (51 Years) and father of John, Jr (Renee), Brian (Lisa), Megan Cawley (Michael), and Kristen Slack ( John). He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren, Madison, Sean, Andrew, Lauren, Luke, Riley, Doug, Will and Lily. Also, his sister, Carol Whartenby. John was the founder of McDonald Company Machines, an international company in the packaging business. In August of 1997, he was awarded a US Design Patent for his innovative changes to the gummed tape dispenser. He was a proud Marine, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and loyal friend to many.
Family and friends are invited to John’s Life Celebration, Wednesday, December 15th, from 6-8pm, at John F. Givnish of Buckingham, 4886 York Rd. and to participate in his Funeral Mass, Thursday, December 16th, 10am, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, 235 E. State St., Doylestown, PA. Interment at Washington Crossing National Cemetery will follow at 1pm.
