Posted

In a “For our Neighbors-From our Neighbors” community event, Lambertville, N.J.’s JB Kline Band, with Ed Wall and Special Guest Laurie Vosburg, will perform outdoors from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, in the American Legion backyard, in Lambertville.

Also performing will be The Shackers, a well-known Lambertville band. Neighbors will get together in socially distanced picnic circles to not only enjoy entertainment and informative talks, but also select from an extensive list of silent auction items donated by community members and businesses. It is a gathering designed to safely join with neighbors before the winter months.

“This event is a celebration of Lambertville and a chance for the community to safely be outside with each other with some great musicians to entertain them. I was born and raised in Lambertville and it is a special place where we look after each other and help each other. Let us take this opportunity to get back to the what makes Lambertville so special. See you there,” said Kline

Slated as an entertaining and educational event for the Lambertville community, several speakers will cover topics of interest to residents. The Environmental Impact of Over Development, City Fiscal Responsibility, How to Vote by Mail and Best Practices for Affordable Housing Obligations will be discussed.

The suggested donation for the event is $15: children 16 and under are free. Proceeds are slated to cover costs for upcoming community newsletters. The silent auction has items donated by residents and businesses, such as paintings, pottery, jewelry, gift certificates and gift baskets from Lambertville shops and restaurants, overnight stays at bed and breakfasts, and more.

The Lambertville American Legion is accessible from the PNC bank parking lot at 320 N. Union St. The American Legion will serve hot dogs and hamburgers, and wine and beer from their facility. Proceeds from food and alcohol sales will benefit the American Legion organization. Guests are not allowed to bring alcohol onto the premises.

For attendee safety, masks will be required when moving around outside of your picnic circle. Attendees are encouraged to follow these guidelines of masks and social distancing to make this a safe event for all.

A rain date of Oct. 11 is planned. For information, or to purchase tickets in advance go to LambertvilleUnited.org
