Canandaigua, NY - Janet (Balliet) Trumbower, age 86, passed away on December 21, 2021. She is survived by three sons, Michael (Kathy) Trumbower, Scott (Stephanie) Trumbower and Steve Trumbower; four grandchildren, Michael (Angela), Evan (Dani), Hillary and Taylor (Mary Catherine); sister, Paulette Fehl; two brothers, Robert (Sandy) Balliet and William (Terri) Balliet; and step-brother, Donald Truog. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl M. Trumbower; and brother, C. Richard Balliet.
Janet was born in Quakertown, PA and was the daughter of Clarence and Ethel (Wimmer) Balliet. She grew up in East Rockhill Township, PA and was a graduate of Quakertown High School, class of 1953. Janet and Earl were married on January 26, 1957, in Weisel, PA. She raised three sons while moving around the northeast as Earl pursued his professional career. Janet was an avid reader and a willing sports fan. She enjoyed the camaraderie of her fellow women congregants at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Camillus, NY. Janet also enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels in the Syracuse area, delivering food to residents.
A memorial service will be held in the spring at Zion Lutheran Church in Zionhill, PA, at a date and time to be announced. Interment will be in Zionhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, 5108 W. Genesee St., Camillus, NY 13031, National Kidney Foundation, 1344 University Ave., Suite 270, Rochester, NY 14607 or your local Meals on Wheels organization.
