Jane Voorhees Fiaschi

Jane Voorhees Fiaschi, of Lambertville, N.J., died on Monday, Sept. 11, 2023, at the Terraces at Lawrence in Lawrence Township, N.J.

Jane was a lifelong Lambertville resident. For 43 years she worked for the State of New Jersey as a customer service representative in the Department of the Treasury, Division of Distribution and Support Services. Her vast knowledge of her department’s offerings and inner workings made her a valuable resource to her co-workers and the citizens of New Jersey. In her free time, Jane could often be found amongst her prodigious rubber stamp collection, creating thoughtful, handmade cards for her friends and extensive network of fellow rubber stamp enthusiasts. She was a lifelong parishioner at St. John the Evangelist Church in Lambertville.

An avid traveler, in her younger years Jane particularly enjoyed cruises with her friends. It was aboard a cruise ship that Jane met Alviero Fiaschi, a native of San Casciano, Italy. The two became inseparable, married and Alviero came to live with her in Lambertville. Every year, Jane and Alviero traveled abroad and visited San Casciano to spend extended time with family and friends. Alviero passed away in April.

Jane was the wife of the late Alviero Fiaschi; the daughter of the late Jack and Beryl Holzbaur Voorhees, the sister of the late Teri Voorhees Palazzolo, daughter-in-law of the late Ugo and Carolina Martucci Fiaschi and the aunt of the late Sandra Signorini. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law JoAnne and Robert Searles; her niece Amy Voorhees Searles; her brother-in-law Rocco Palazzolo; her nephew Salvatore John Palazzolo and his wife Melissa Michelle Palazzolo and their children Rocco Dirick Palazzolo and Elisabella Gianna Palazzolo; her nephew John Mario Palazzolo and his wife Vicey Lynn Palazzolo and their children Theresa Venera Palazzolo and Rocco Mario Palazzolo; her niece Erina Venera Palazzolo and her husband Piero Bologna and their children Sara and Marco Bologna; her sister-in-law and her husband Anna Fiaschi and Mario Signorini; her brother-in-law Alvaro Fiaschi; her nephew-in-law Michele Gheri and his children Alessandro and Martina Gheri; her niece Elsa Signorini and her daughter Noemi Spagnuolo.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, Sept. 22, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 44 Bridge Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.

There will be calling hours on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York St., Lambertville, NJ 08530.
