Hunterdon Land Trust Farmers Market begins new season

Posted

Hunterdon Land Trust opens a new Farmers Market season from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sundays at the Dvoor Farm, 111 Mine St., Flemington, N.J.

The producers-only market will run every Sunday through Nov. 22. Shoppers will find organic fruits and vegetables, all-natural meats, fresh-baked breads, cave-ripened cheeses, honey, pies, plants, locally roasted coffee, milk, eggs and more. Approximately 24 farmers and vendors will participate in the market this season.

HLT’s market had a quieter opening this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Music, yoga and a children’s program with juggler, magician and former Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus Bob Lloyd have been postponed.

To provide a safe shopping experience, HLT has adopted a series of protocols to protect all attendees. This comprehensive list can be viewed on HLT’s website at hunterdonlandtrust.org.

New farmers and vendors this year include Michisk Farm, Stewgler Farm & Forest (Gorgeous Goat), Fare Is Fowl and Evergreen Refill. Not all of these new farmers were at the market opening, but will be at the Dvoor Farm this season.

Farmers Market sponsors are: Basil Bandwagon Natural Market, Northfield Bank, Thomas McMillan — Callaway Henderson Sotheby’s International Realty, McPherson & Newland Insurance, and Matt’s Red Rooster Grill.

Most farmers accept credit cards. Parking is free and easily accessible.
