Hunt for Magic the Bear returns to Lambertville, Stockton

Posted

The Greater Lambertville Chamber of Commerce’s “Hunt for Magic” will return to the streets of Lambertville and Stockton, N.J., in mid-December.
Partially funded by a grant from the N.J. Division of Travel and Tourism, the event will be widely advertised locally and in the tri-state area.
Local artist Scott MacNeil has designed the logo that will appear in print advertising, on the reusable shopping bags each participating business will receive and on a banner that will hang across Bridge Street with the slogan “Experience the Magic of Lambertville at the Holidays and Everyday.”
Courtesy of Ana from A Mano Galleries, a white polar bear will be given to participating businesses, which will also be given a QR code that participating shoppers can scan to indicate that they have successfully found a bear. The people who find the most bears will be entered to win the prize of a Basket of Magic, which consists of gift certificates from each of the participating businesses and a Magic the Bear stuffed toy.

The chamber asks participating businesses to donate a $10 to $25 gift card or an item from their store to be included in the basket.
The hunt is designed to be completed on foot. This means people can start anywhere and hopefully will visit many different businesses. A map used on smartphones will be created once the sign-up period for the event is completed and will include each participating location where Magic can be found.
The Lambertville Station will have an employee dressed as Magic the Bear who will be around town on weekends to pose for photos on the street and will visit participating businesses.
Businesses that wish to participate, are asked to respond to the chamber by Wednesday, Dec. 8. They will receive their bear shortly after signing up. This event is available only to chamber members. Those who are not already a member, you can sign up now.
