How to keep the Soul in Solebury Township

Posted

For many years, the Solebury Township Board of Supervisors has done its job well by making decisions in the best interests of the whole community. As a result, Solebury has retained its rural character while many neighboring communities have become clogged with housing developments and strip malls.
Solebury has very little crime or traffic, some of the most beautiful scenescapes in the area, one of the best school districts in the state, and one of the lowest tax rates in the county.
While the overwhelming majority of Solebury residents live here because of these attributes, others seek opportunities to profit from overdeveloping the township.
As a former township supervisor, I know that foresight and fortitude are needed to keep the Soul in Solebury. Without both, Route 202 would be a strip mall hell with more traffic, noise, and pollution; housing developments would replace farms and scenic landscapes; and taxes would be significantly higher to pay for more roads, schools, and government services.

Let’s do what’s right for the Solebury community by voting for Kevin Morrissey and Hanna Howe for Solebury Township supervisor on November 2.
Helen Tai, Solebury

Former Solebury Township Supervisor
