Hope Is Not Canceled suicide prevention event set for Warminster park

The Bucks County Suicide Prevention Task Force and NAMI Bucks County are hosting a Decorated Car Show from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 4, on the air strip at Warminster Community Park (WCP)’s Special Event Area.

Guests will decorate cars in themes of hope, recovery, mental health awareness, and suicide prevention. Then the best decorations will win prizes and be featured in the “Hope Is Not Canceled” Live Stream on Nov. 7.

Come to hear inspiring messages from state and local officials, individuals in recovery, and survivors of suicide, all from your car radio, and a massive LED screen. There will be treats from Native Sweets’ Depressed Cake Shop and Starbucks, with music by DJ Maggie Mayy.

Guests will also include Bucks County’s Mental Health Super Heroes, NAMI Man and his new friend, Zero Suicide Man. A donation toward suicide prevention gives you a chance to dunk these heroes in a dunk tank.

Check-In and Events are at 1 p.m. at Warminster Community Park, 350 E. Bristol Road, Warminster, at the Special Events Entrance, not the Main Entrance.

Register at! Create a fundraising team or donate there to help support suicide prevention efforts in Bucks County. Raising at least $50 will win you a “Hope is Not Canceled” T-shirt.

All funds raised from these events directly support suicide prevention programs offered online and in-person in Bucks County.
