Hope for the Animals seeks sanctuary

Posted

Hope for the Animals (HFA) is actively seeking a site that will be a sanctuary for the animals that qualify for a forever home.

Hope for the Animals is a nonprofit, no-kill animal welfare organization based in Bucks County,.

Ideally, the sanctuary will be in Central or Lower Bucks County and comprise three to 5 acres of land with a house and one to three outbuildings. The house will serve small animals and resident volunteers, while the outbuildings will be home to farm animals. HFA’s mission is to: end the killing of all animals in shelters and other facilities; help the most needy and desperate of all animals, including canines, felines, and farm animals; place every animal under its care in a forever loving home; educate the public regarding proper care, spay/neutering, and population control; provide financial assistance for veterinary services; promote spay/neuter/vaccination services; and encourage and assist with implementation of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) as the most effective and humane method of managing feral feline communities in order to protect public health and wildlife.

The sanctuary will be home for not only those in need of rescue, but for those pets who have an owner who can no longer care for their companion due to any of life’s challenging circumstances.

If you know of a site that may be appropriate for the sanctuary, contact Janice Haveson, vice president, at 609-306-0122 or janice@haveson.com.
