Historical Society book sale scheduled

Posted

The Hunterdon County Historical Society will host a book sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, in front of the Doric House Museum, 114 Main St., Flemington, N.J.

The sale features a variety of histories and biographies, along with an eclectic collection of rare and unusual books and some popular favorites. Visitors will find a treasure trove of books about townships and counties in New Jersey and various state histories. They’ll also find first editions, and reproductions of historic maps and posters.

Author Jim Davidson will be there from 10-11:30 a.m. to sign copies of his new book, “When the Circus Came to Town,” about Flemington during the Lindbergh baby kidnapping trial.

Since this is the nonprofit HCHS’s first book sale since the pandemic, it’s stocked with hundreds of books. Arrive early for the best selection.

Cash or personal check only. All proceeds benefit HCHS’s mission to preserve, protect and share Hunterdon County’s history.
