Historic Newtown Theatre stages “Songs of Bob Dylan”

Posted

The historic Newtown Theatre will present “The Songs of Bob Dylan” at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 26.
The one-night-only concert will feature local band Highway 61 Revival paying tribute to one of music’s most legendary singer/songwriters.
The self-described “Dylan geeks” who make up Highway 61 Revival have been celebrating their hero’s birthday with shows each year for the past seven years. This will be their first concert in Newtown.

The band is comprised of Paul Wilkinson on guitar, Daniel Bower on drums, Brad Hinton on guitar and lap steel, Tim Celfo on bass, and Ben Smith on keyboards. At the March 26 show, the group will play two sets of Dylan songs, with each band-member taking turns leading songs.
For tickets and information, visit The Newtown Theatre online. The theater is located at 120 N. State St., in Newtown Borough.
