Transform your 18th century men’s wardrobe with a hand-sewn white linen shirt at Pottsgrove Manor, 100 West King St., Pottstown, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 30.
Learn the strategy to proper sleeve gathers and gussets at this hand-sewing workshop led by April Thomas, owner of Fashions Revisited. White linen, all materials needed, and expert instruction, will be provided.
Participants can choose the type of shirt they wish to make, from an everyday working shirt to one complete with ruffles. Discover how to make the ideal shirt for any level of interpretation at this historic workshop.
Space is limited. The materials fee is $85 per person. Ages 14-plus and some hand sewing experience is recommended, but all levels are welcome.
