H. Frank Kulp

H. Frank Kulp, of Lansdale, Pa., formerly of New Hope, died on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Meadowood Senior Living in Lansdale. Frank celebrated his 95th birthday on Feb. 23, 2022.
Born in Plumsteadville, Pa., Frank grew up in a large and loving family in Doylestown. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Drexel University and became a CPA. During World War II he served stateside in South Carolina with the U.S. Navy. Frank married the former Rose Marie Flood of New Hope where they established their home and raised their family. Frank started his own CPA practice based in Lambertville, N.J. At age 48 he left accounting and launched a new career by establishing Nega File of Furlong, manufacturing photographic file systems. At a time in life when most people are retiring, Frank was ready for new challenges. At 70 he was awarded his MBA in finance from LaSalle University where he also became a graduate level instructor in accounting and finance. Frank generously shared his experience and skills with his community. He was a member of the New Hope American Legion and a past president of the Lambertville-New Hope Rotary. He was the treasurer for the New Hope Auto Show and served on the board of the Solebury National Bank and later the regional board of directors of the Continental Bank. He was a parishioner at St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church in New Hope where he was a lay deacon and was a member of the building and finance committee. He was a student of U.S. history and a great supporter on our military forces.
Frank was a loving husband to Rose Marie who passed away in 2013. A devoted couple for 63 years, they were dedicated to their family and to each other. They loved their farm in Solebury where Frank raised black angus, were avid travelers and spent winters in Hawaii. Frank was the father of the late John B. Kulp, the son of the late Abraham B. and Rose Keehner Kulp and the brother of the late Eleanor Myers, Mae Fell, Ruth Naylor, Dorothy Slotter, Luther Kulp, George Kulp, and Robert Kulp He is survived by his children and their spouses Francis R. Kulp and his wife Janice of Griffin, Georgia, Robert W. Kulp of Venice, FL, Jean Marie Cuce and her husband Aldo of Cedars, PA and Rose Ann Schieber and her husband Tim of New Hope; his sister Jean Hellerman of Doylestown; his 13 grandchildren and his 24 great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law Marion Flood of Yardley; his nephews and nieces and the many lives he touched as a friend, professional, teacher and community volunteer.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, March 19 at 11 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church, 1 Riverstone Circle, New Hope, PA 18938. Interment with Navy honors will follow at the parish cemetery.
There will be calling hours at the church on Saturday morning from 9:30 am until the start of Mass.
Donations in Frank’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 16 Rose Avenue, Feasterville-Trevose, PA 19053.
