Alexander Gladney, senior vice president and chief legal officer at Capital Health System, Inc., has been appointed to the Board of Trustees at Grounds For Sculpture (GFS), the 42-acre sculpture park, arboretum and museum in Hamilton, N.J.
A graduate of Georgetown University, Gladney holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and fine arts. He also attended Temple University School of Law, earning his Juris Doctorate with a focus on corporate law.
At Capital Health, Gladney manages a variety of responsibilities across several departments, including corporate, real estate, contract and voting rights law.
Gladney is a committed philanthropist, and is particularly passionate about organizations and causes related to the health-care field and communities affected by poverty.
Among the core tenets of the GFS strategic plan, adopted this year, is the belief that the experience and discovery of art in nature is transformative, and that visiting an oasis of beauty with art and imaginatively landscaped gardens can awaken the senses, enhance well-being, and stimulate reflection.
“We are honored to have Alexander join our Board of Trustees,” said Gary Garrido Schneider, GFS executive director. “His dedication to health and wellness and our desire to improve well-being through the experience of art in nature are well-aligned.”
“Grounds For Sculpture is one of the most unique artistic environments in the United States. It has the power to enrich, heal, and transform lives. This appointment is truly an honor. I look forward to working with fellow board members to help the organization reach its long-term goals through hard work and dedication,” said Gladney.
