For book collectors, dealers, and readers in general, there is good news and more good news this summer.
After a difficult 2020, the Good Shepherd Church Used Book Sale in Hilltown is back on, and will be held Thursday through Sunday of Labor Day weekend, Sept. 2 through 5.
The other good news is that this year’s sale will include all of the books collected this year, as well as those held over from last year’s sale, which had to be canceled. So, there will be an abundance of books, CDs, audiobooks, and DVDs, all donated and in great condition. And, as always, nothing in the sale will be more than $1.
“There is more inventory than we have space to display,” explained Karen Bossert, chairperson for the book sale, “so we will be restocking every evening. If your favorites aren’t available the first day, they may appear later in the sale, so multiple visits could yield great results.”
One of the trademarks of the Good Shepherd book sale is the amount of sorting that is done for the various topics. Customers always comment that this sale has the best presentation of any sale that they visit. As always, the selection is pre-screened for condition, and is neatly arranged.
