Good Shepherd book sale returns first weekend in June

Posted

The annual Good Shepherd Church Used Book Sale returns to Hilltown the first weekend in June, and will be held Saturday through Monday, June 3 to 5.

Once again, there will be an abundance of books, CDs, audiobooks, and DVDs, all donated and in great condition, from which to choose. And, as always, no single item in the sale will be more than $1. The final day will feature the always popular $5 “Bag Sale.”

“We continue to get great books and other material donated from the community,” explained Karen Bossert, chairperson for the book sale, “and expect to be able to offer well over 40,000 items. New this year will be some added non-fiction categories, and a large assortment of sheet music.”

One of the trademarks of the Good Shepherd book sale is the amount of sorting that is done for the various topics. Customers always comment that this sale has the best presentation of any sale that they visit. As always, the selection is pre-screened for condition, and is neatly arranged.

And, as always, there is a very large selection of children’s books, also well sorted and screened for condition.

The sale will go from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 3, continue Sunday, June 4, when the hours will be noon to 5 p.m. (The building is otherwise busy on Sunday morning, of course.), and conclude on Monday June 5, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Back by popular demand, Monday will be a “Bag Sale,” where customers can fill a standard paper grocery bag with anything that will for fit $5.

Good Shepherd Church is located at 1634 Hilltown Pike in Hilltown, at the intersection of Route 152 and Hilltown Pike. For information, call 215-712-7527.
