Go on an “Emotional Odyssey”

Posted

Artists’ Gallery in Lambertville, N.J., presents “Emotional Odyssey,” an exhibition featuring the photographic pigment prints, watercolor and acrylic paintings of Joseph DeFay and Carol Sanzalone.

The show runs from Oct. 6, through Nov. 6, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, or by appointment. A “Meet the Artists” opening reception is scheduled for 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8.

DeFay and Sanzalone are both exhibiting juried members of Artists’ Gallery, located at 18 Bridge St., Lambertville. They both also exhibit their work in juried shows throughout the Northeast.

Photographing subjects up close, DeFay provides the ability to see details that one would not ordinarily notice. His intention is to compel each viewer to linger with the same vision that he enjoys behind the lens.

Sanzalone, creatively inspired by the interaction of color and form, captures the graphic impact of natural and reflected light in color patterns, throughout the day and seasons. Working with shapes and washes of color, a painting will often develop from an experimental approach.
