Gilbert and Sullivan “Messiah”sing-along returns

The Bucks County Gilbert & Sullivan Society and members of the community will join voices for their sixth annual “Handel’s Messiah Sing-Along” on Saturday, Dec. 15, with performances at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., at our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 5175 Cold Spring Creamery Road, Doylestown.

The sing-along will be conducted by Lee F. Milhous and Bob Binkley, and accompanied by the 40-piece Bucks County Gilbert & Sullivan Orchestra.

Guest soloists include Derek Hess of Boyertown, Timothy Faulkner of Ewing, N.J., Wilbur Lewis of New Brunswick, N.J., Jill Dulany of Warrington, Olivia Rowland of Vernon, N.J., Laura Isabella of Princeton, N.J., Rachel Martin of Delanco, N.J., Jennifer Graf-Domijan of Quakertown, Faith Donaher and Michelle English of Phoenixville, Martha Ellen Smith of Bristol, Alyssa Brode of Philadelphia and David Tapp of Yardley.

The audience may sing along with the choruses, including the world-renowned “Hallelujah Chorus,” or simply listen and enjoy the concert. Singers may bring their own “Messiah” score or download the chorus music from BucksGilbertAndSullivan.org.

Admission is pay-at-the-door only, and is $10, with children 13 and under free. The Bucks County Gilbert & Sullivan Society is a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
