Generosity appreciated by Lambertville pantry

Posted

As Thanksgiving approaches I thank all of our generous donors, volunteers, religious institutions and businesses that support Delaware Valley Food Pantry’s mission to assist people in our community.
Special thanks to the board of the Centenary United Methodist Church who graciously offered us their community room when DVFP had to vacate our pantry facility because of the flood.
We have temporarily moved to that church, at the corner of Union and Jefferson streets and we will continue to operate from there until we can move back into our permanent location at 1 Cherry St., in the CVS shopping center.
Many donors contributed specifically to help Lambertville flood victims. Thanks to their generosity the food pantry board voted to give a check for $50,000 to the Lambertville Emergency Fund to distribute to each of the families who were left homeless at the Village Apartments, and other residents impacted by the flood.

Each Village Apartment family was presented with a check for $1,000 from the Lambertville Emergency Fund to assist them with their recovery.
I thank our community for its continued support so DVFP may continue our mission as we have since 1955 (another flood).
