Frenchtown Bookshop presents author readings and concerts

Posted

Frenchtown Bookshop hosts author readings and concerts during the month of November, beginning with “Dinner with an Author: Hannah Howard,” at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 4.
The event celebrates Frenchtown, N.J., food writer and memoirist Hannah Howard’s new book, “Plenty,” with a three-course dinner at the Frenchtown Inn. Tickets include a signed book, three-course dinner (tax and tip included), and author interview and reading.
Howard, whose food writing has been featured everywhere from New York Magazine to the Chicago Review of Books, follows up her best-selling memoir “Feast” with “Plenty: A Memoir of Food and Family.”
Howard will be interviewed by novelist and memoir-writing teacher Linda Wisniewski, whose book, “Where The Stork Flies,” is available at the Bookshop.

Tickets are $80 at frenchtownbookshop.com.
Next up is the First Saturday Poetry Series featuring award-winning poet Dilruba Ahmed, at 6 p.m. Nov. 6.
Ahmed’s book “Dhaka Dust” won the Bakeless Prize, and her poems have appeared in the American Poetry Review and Kenyon Review.
This month’s reading will be virtual and is free and open to the public. Register at Frenchtownbookshop.com to receive a link to participate and order a signed book.
