Frenchtown Bookshop features author readings, concerts

Frenchtown Bookshop, 28 Bridge St., Frenchtown, N.J., presents author readings and concerts during the month of October.
Events include a Dinosaur Pajama Party, an “Antiques (River) Road Show” antiques valuation event, and an appearance by two award-winning Vermont poets in the store’s monthly Poetry Reading Series
The First Saturday Poetry Series kicks off with poets and creative writing professors Major Jackson and Didi Jackson at 6 p.m. Oct. 2. First Saturday Poetry is curated and presented by Vasiliki Katsarou, a Geraldine R. Dodge Poet and a regular teaching artist at the Hunterdon Art Museum. The event is free and open to the public.
Future events include: Dinosaur Pajama Party and Parade, featuring Laurie Wallmark, author of the new picture book, “Dino Pajama Party,” at 5 p.m. Oct. 17. Admission is free, but registration is required.

Next up is “What’s It Worth?” Antiques Valuation Event with author and antiques appraiser Bill D’Anjolell, at 2 p.m. Oct. 14, on the Bookshop patio. Each person who purchases a copy of “My Antiques Journey” at the event will be entitled to valuation of two items (no jewelry, please).
No pre-registration is needed. The event is free and open to the public.
