Frenchtown artist opens new gallery

Posted

Artist Sandra Dillon has opened a new art gallery in the historic Gem building, 10 Bridge St., Frenchtown, N.J.

The Art Parlour, which opened this month, will have Dillon’s paintings and assemblage on view until Aug 24. Born in Philadelphia, Dillon is a painter, photographer, film editor and now, a gallery owner.

An opening reception for the next show, of Luke Ratray’s 20-year retrospective of the Coney Island Mermaid Parade, is set for 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28.

“I want this place of magic to be filled with friends, new and old, art, music, collaboration, laughter, weird puppet shows – whatever craziness I can cook up,” she said.
