Free pet adoption event aims to save homeless animals

Posted

Doll 10 Beauty, a cruelty-free cosmetics company based in Bucks County, is partnering with Women’s Animal Center to sponsor a free pet adoption event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 23.
The Dolls for Paws Adoption Event was organized to place as many animals as possible into new homes. All adoption fees will be fully covered by Doll 10 Beauty, as the shelter historically contends with an influx of homeless animals throughout the fall season.
“Never take time for granted. Animal shelters across the country are filled with pets that need our time. Every year, ‘time is up’ for millions of them, and the time for us to make a difference is now,” said Dr. Doris Dalton, founder of Doll 10 Beauty.

This marks the third annual Dolls for Paws Adoption Event. Fifty-seven pets found new homes in 2019, which was a near-record daily total for the shelter at that time.
In addition to waived adoption fees, all event-day adoptions include spaying or neutering, vaccinations, microchip, flea/tick treatment, free and discounted veterinary services, and adoption gift bags.
Interested adopters are encouraged to arrive early on the day of the event and streamline their adoption process by reviewing the shelter’s website in advance for tips on preparation. Adoption applications and information on some of the currently adoptable dogs, cats and small domestic animals can also be accessed at the shelter website.
