Frances Chwal of Doylestown passed away on April 19, 2022 at age 85.
Born in Philadelphia, Frances was the daughter of Walter and Gladys Bucher. Frances (Fran) will be dearly missed by her five children, Ken (Heide), Chris (Erik Weber), Connie Herrmann (Doug), Craig (Carol) and Karen. Fran was the grandmother to Carley, Jenna and Tanner Chwal, Tyler and Evan Chwal-Weber and Timothy and Michael Chwal. She will also be missed by many members of the Bucher family and the Chwal family.
Fran worked as the caring and efficient office manager of Trees In Travel LLC for over 25 years. Working alongside her daughter, Connie and sonh-in-law, Doug, Fran (Mom) had a wise and calming presence. Despite working many hours together, Fran, Connie and Doug enjoyed many Sunday outings, garden or house tours etc. followed by dinner. She frequently got together with her daughter Karen for lunch or dinner and with her sons and their spouses and children, always glad she didn’t have to cook. Fran especially enjoyed the great meals prepared by Heide, Carol and Erik. Fran previously worked as a real estate agent.
Fran was always interested in learning, often taking classes in a variety of topics or learning to sail her small sailboat at Lake Galena. She enjoyed traveling and seeing the sights locally or further away in France and Hawaii. Fran especially enjoyed her time each summer in Ocean City, N.J.
As a young mother of five, she could pack up the car and five kids and head to the shore in record time. Fran was a very independent lady who enjoyed time to herself, attending her grandchildren’s school and sports events and being with family and her friends.
A celebration of Fran’s life will take place on Friday, June 24, 2022 at the Historic Moland House in Hartsville, Pa. Family and friends are invited to visit anytime between 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served, and everyone is invited to be as comfortable and casual as they would like to be. The family welcomes hearing about any fond memories that you have about Fran.
The Historic Moland House is located at 1641 York Road, Hartsville - Warminster, PA 18974. Access is best from York Road, the highway as opposed to Old York Road.
