Editor's Note: This  story has been updated to reflect that the four-way stop is now in place.

All drivers must now be alert to the new four-way stop at the intersection of Broad Street and Sandy Ridge Road in Doylestown Township near its border with Doylestown Borough.

Doylestown Township police are asking motorists to be aware of the signage at the four-way intersection near the entrances and exits to Route 611.

As residential development expands on North Broad Street in Doylestown Borough, with construction of a 233-unit apartment complex well-underway, additional traffic control measures can be expected. A red light is planned at the intersection of North Broad Street and Atkinson Drive.

A townhouse development has been approved on a Doylestown Township property in the same area, as well. Some of that project will front North Broad.
