Valley Youth House has received a donation of $14,475 from Faulkner Subaru of Bethlehem as part of Subaru of America, Inc.’s annual Share the Love event.
During the Share the Love event, Subaru donates $250 for every new vehicle purchased or leased to the purchaser’s choice of participating charities. Over the past 13 years of the event, Subaru and its retailers have donated more than $200 million to a wide range of national and local charities.
Within the last eight years, Subaru retailers have been able to select a Hometown Charity to receive donations, in addition to the national charities.
“Within just 72 hours of receiving the donation, all of the youth currently being served in our Lehigh Valley Shelter were sleeping on brand new mattresses,” said Michele Albright, associate director of emergency services and housing at Valley Youth House. “This donation from Faulkner Subaru of Bethlehem has been such a blessing!”
