The public is invited to attend “Stargazing: How to View the Night Sky,” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library, 680 Radcliffe St., when members of the Bucks-Mont Astronomical Association (BMAA) will be on hand to show participants how to use association telescopes and binoculars to view the night sky.
Participants are welcome to bring their own personal telescope or binoculars.
The presentation is part of the NASA @ My Library education initiative to promote STEM learning opportunities throughout the nation. As one of 75 U.S. public libraries selected through a competitive application process to become a NASA @ My Library Partner, the library has received resources, training and support to lead STEM educational events in the community.
The free, rain-or-shine event is appropriate for ages 8 and up. Register by calling 215-788-7891, or online at grundylibrary.org.
The Bucks-Mont Astronomical Association returns to the library on International Observe the Moon Night, Saturday, Oct. 5, for an after-hours, outdoor star party.
The Bucks-Mont Astronomical Association is a group of amateur astronomers working together to improve astronomical knowledge and appreciation as well as observational and astrophotography skills.
