Essentials closing Doylestown location; remaining open in Warrington

Posted

Essentials Salon & Spa announced the closing of its Doylestown Shopping Center location, no later than Aug. 28.

Essentials’ Warrington location, in the Valley Square Shopping Center, will remain open.

“It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the permanent closure of Essentials Salon & Spa in Doylestown,” the business said on its website.

“For 25 years Essentials has been creating inner peace and outer beauty with our brand of hair-styling and spa services.”

The posting also said, “For us, and many other businesses, the onset of COVID and the resulting shutdowns were the beginning of many difficult days. The pandemic derailed our plans for a revision of our large space, and we took steps over the next two years to secure Essentials’ future.

“In November of 2020, the Doylestown (shopping) center posted a proposal for a major renovation leading us to seek an alternate site within the center. In the end there were no options available to us and we were unable to secure a new space or renewed lease. In addition, after looking into other buildings nearby we could not find any other suitable facility that could house our entire team.”

The posting also spoke to the effect the closing would have on staff and customers.

“We realize the impact of our closure may be difficult and are committed to our team members, assisting them in any way possible as they secure new beginnings. The Essentials Doylestown website will remain current, and a staff directory will be provided so you can find your favorite stylist, nail or spa professional.

“Essentials Salon at Valley Square in Warrington is remaining open and there you will have access to hair and beauty services as well as Aveda products. Essentials gift cards will be accepted in Doylestown through closing and can always be used at Essentials in Warrington.

“From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for 25 wonderful years! It has been our privilege to serve this beautiful community. We hope we touched your life as much as you touched ours. We will forever be grateful for all your support and the memories created through the years.”

The posting was signed by: Elliott & Elaine Levitan, Jacquelynn McKay, Marc Levitan and the entire Essentials Salon & Spa Family.
