Enter to win tickets to see the Joe Louis Walker Band at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, at the Sellersville Theater, 24 W. Temple Ave., Sellersville.
A Blues Hall of Fame inductee and four-time Blues Music Award winner, Walker has toured extensively throughout his career, earning a legion of dedicated fans.
Walker is “a true powerhouse guitar virtuoso, unique singer and prolific songwriter.” He has developed his own “fiery, melodic and always unpredictable guitar attack.”
Walker met guitarist Michael Bloomfield in 1968, and Bloomfield helped push Walker’s blues in a more rock-fueled direction and became the single biggest influence on Walker’s sound.
NPR Music has called Walker “a legendary boundary-pushing icon of modern blues,” and he is being referred to within the blues world as a living legend.
Walker’s latest album is a CD/DVD release filmed live in Las Vegas in 2018, title “Viva Las Vegas.” It was released in May on Cleopatra Records.
