Elizabeth Capaldi’s husband reportedly led police to what are believed to be her remains

Posted

The disturbing story surrounding the October disappearance of 55-year-old Elizabeth Capaldi took a new turn over the weekend, when her husband, Stephen Capaldi, was taken into custody.
He reportedly took authorities to a wooded area near the Philadelphia International Airport where human remains were found. The remains have not yet been identified as those of his wife, according to published reports.
Officials have been silent on the case since October, when Beth Capaldi went missing. On Monday, Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub’s office said, “Unfortunately, we are legally prohibited from releasing anything about this case at the moment, but we hope to address any questions at a news conference later this week.”

Beth Capaldi was last seen near High and East Church streets near her Sellersville home on Oct. 10. Stephen Capaldi was the last person to see her, the DA’s office said, following the October report of her disappearance.
She was reported missing two days later by her daughter, Emma Capaldi. She was not known to leave home often except to run errands. While her wallet was missing, her keys and cell phone were left at home.
A GoFundMe has been started to help support Emma. As of Monday morning, more than $12,500 was raised.
