Eddie Bruce and Dean Schneider headline Valentine’s weekend at Rrazz Room

Posted

Eddie Bruce has legendary status in the Philadelphia and Delaware Valley area.
He is synonymous with the words big band and cabaret, crooning and love songs.
His upcoming appearance at The Rrazz Room’s “The Redfield Room at The Centre Bridge Inn” in Solebury Township, is timed perfectly for a romantic evening celebrating the most romantic of weekends.
The show will be at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12. The show is called “Two for the Road.”
Along with Bruce doing vocals, you have Dean Schneider at the piano. Schneider has been accompanying and working as musical director for over 40 years with the likes of Placido Domingo, Bernadette Peters, Lou Rawls and most consistently with the late Diahann Carroll, who he was with for some 26 years.

The evening will consist of love songs from three composers: Henry Mancini, Johnny Mercer and Michelle Legrand. This is a beautiful blend of melody and the most poetic of lyrics.
Between Mancini’s “Moon River,” Mercer’s “The Autumn Leaves and “I Remember You” and Legrand’s “What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life,” the mood is set.
Bruce has that smooth as silk, lush baritone voice going to tenor that is the sweet spot for a crooner. It is why he has been so successful in his tributes to Sinatra and Bennett.
This upcoming appearance is the trifecta of artist, songs and venue. The perfect guarantee in making for the memorable of Valentine’s Day weekend.
