Starting the week of Oct. 7, contractors will begin the process of replacing the metal roof at the Doylestown District Center Library at 150 South Pine St. Construction is projected to continue through mid-December.
The project is supported in part through a grant from the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, Pennsylvania Department of Education, with funds provided from the Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund.
The library will remain open during this time. However, between Oct. 21 and Nov. 15, the library will have a two-week period of reduced hours. During this period, the library will be closed during the day and open to the public in the evening from 5 to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Weekend hours will not be reduced, and the library will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
